DALLAS — Fort Worth Trimble Tech walked into Sprague Stadium looking for its first win of the young season and left Dallas with exactly that.
The Bulldogs defeated the W.H. Adamson Leopards 24–6, using a strong rushing attack and a defense that kept Adamson out of the end zone for most of the night.
The non-district matchup moved Trimble Tech to 1–1 at the time, while Adamson dropped to 0–2.
TRIMBLE TECH CONTROLS THE NIGHT
Adamson found some success moving the football on the ground, finishing with 202 rushing yards, but turning those yards into points proved difficult.
The Leopards finished the night with just one touchdown and were unable to generate any production through the passing game, according to the reported statistics.
Trimble Tech took advantage.
The Bulldogs established their rushing attack behind Elijah Williams, who delivered the game's standout individual performance.
Williams carried the ball just 14 times but totaled 148 rushing yards and a touchdown, averaging more than 10 yards per carry.
His ability to create explosive plays on the ground gave the Bulldogs a weapon Adamson struggled to contain throughout the matchup.
ADAMSON FINDS YARDS, BUT NOT POINTS
The final score doesn't mean the Leopards were completely unable to move the football.
Adamson accumulated more than 200 yards on the ground, showing an ability to gain yardage with its rushing attack. The problem came when the Leopards needed to finish drives.
Only six points made it onto the scoreboard.
Against a Trimble Tech offense capable of producing explosive runs, Adamson needed points whenever opportunities presented themselves. Instead, the Bulldogs were able to create separation and force the Leopards to play from behind.
For Adamson, it became a frustrating night where offensive production between the 20s didn't translate into enough production on the scoreboard.
WILLIAMS LEADS THE BULLDOGS
If there was one player who defined the matchup for Trimble Tech, it was Williams.
14 carries. 148 yards. 1 touchdown.
That's an average of approximately 10.6 yards every time he touched the football.
Williams' performance gave Trimble Tech the ability to attack Adamson without relying solely on its passing game.
The Bulldogs eventually reached 24 points, more than enough for a defense that surrendered only one touchdown.
DEFENSE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
While Williams provided the offensive spark, Trimble Tech's defense helped determine the outcome.
Adamson entered scoring territory just enough to put six points on the board, but the Bulldogs prevented the Leopards from turning their 202 rushing yards into a bigger offensive night.
That became one of the biggest differences between the two teams.
Adamson could move the football.
Trimble Tech could finish drives and put points on the scoreboard.
By the end of the night, that difference had created an 18-point margin.

For Trimble Tech, the victory evened its record at 1–1 at that point in the season after opening the year with a 42–34 loss to Benbrook.
For Adamson, the defeat dropped the Leopards to 0–2 after beginning the season with a loss against Dallas Sunset.
A TOUGH NIGHT FOR THE LEOPARDS
For W.H. Adamson, the loss was another early-season test for a program led by head coach and Adamson alumnus Claudio Urbina.
Urbina returned to lead his alma mater after years of coaching within Dallas ISD, including previous stops at Pinkston and Wilmer-Hutchins.
There were still positives for the Leopards to take from the matchup, particularly their ability to generate more than 200 rushing yards.
But football ultimately comes down to finishing possessions.
On this night, Trimble Tech did it better.
The Bulldogs turned their opportunities into 24 points, received a big performance from Williams and limited Adamson to one touchdown.
When the final whistle sounded at Sprague Stadium, Trimble Tech walked away with its first victory of the 2026 season.
